Matthew S. Starr is a comedy writer/actor living in NYC.
Matthew has written for television programs on MTV, MTV2, and TruTV, as well as being a contributor to CollegeHumor, Above Average, Funny or Die, and Splitsider. His short film, Grief: A Comedy, was featured in the LA Indie Film Fest. He also wrote all of the comedic remarks for the 2015 Chef's Roast, a charity gala in Washington D.C. featuring Top Chef's Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio, and Richard Blais.
Matthew has appeared in the Verizon Go90 series Thanksgiving, Mike Birbiglia's Don't Think Twice, and in videos featured on AV Club, CollegeHumor, Cracked, Above Average, UCB Comedy, Huffington Post, and many other web sites.
Matthew spends most of his time at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, performing in New York City on Harold Night (Tuesdays) and around the country with the UCB Touring Company. Matthew also is the host/lead singer for Seriously, Are You Ready To Rock? A Battle of the Bands Show. Matthew also wrote and performs in the 90's live boy band comedy show, Pipeline: Live! In Concert!.
Matthew thinks museums are fucking awesome, and he is a tour guide at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for Museum Hack. He also teaches a pilot-writing workshop in NYC.
